A MAN OF GREAT WORTH

You were a thought; a wish of two wills,
and now, you are here as a gift from God.
You were bred with love;
and now, you fill both with lights of hope.

A smile drawn on your lips flows with charm.
Your pure glance is like a clear sky.
I can see a winged friend at Court ‘round you.

When your small hand grabs my thumb
and you sleep on my chest;
when your eyes seek mine
and your needs are part of my life,
you make me feel like a man of great worth.

You were a dream; the aim of two true vows,
and now, you are here as a seal of God.
You were sent to us by His grace and love
and now, our shared time has been filled with new joy.

All signs on your face are full of life.
Your small steps look like huge leaps of faith.
I can see your fate blessed by God.

When you give me a big hug with your small arms
and you laugh out loud while I pull a face;
when I take care of you
and your warm voice calls me: Dad!
you make me feel like a man of great worth.

Dear babe, I know that you, in a blink, will be gone,
but I am sure your heart will still know my love.
Since I would like to be a man of great worth for all times,
I will not let down my guard for you.

God bless you my sweet.

YOU MAKE MY DAY

When you draw a smile on your face
and your mouth is full of kind words for me,
you make my day.

When your arms heat my body with a sweet hug
or you bring me a cup of hot tea on a cold night,
you make my day.

When you hear my fears and dreams
and help me with a wise point of view,
you make my day.

When I feel stressed and weak
and you lift me up to do my best,
So that you do not lose sight of my flair,
you make my day.

When your heart sees how you can help me
and you take a pause from your tasks for me,
you make my day.

When you share your spare time with me
and spur me to show zest for my life,
you make my day.

When you need my help
and you say, please;
When words of thanks sprout from your lips
while I show you my love,
you make my day.

When you read these lines
and let me warm your heart with my words,
you make my day.

SHE

She has my heart in her hands;
she looks glad and
draws a smile on her face.
She has my soul in her blood;
she takes care of me and
gives me her whole love.

She knows the state of my mind;
she is clung to my heart,
and I am at the top of her dreams.
She makes my live a feast,
and give me strength
to reach my goals.

She looks like a gem
when her arms wrap
round my neck.
She turns a dark day
to a bright one,
her words wet my dry fields
and I can reap lush fruits.

She has both a sweet
and a hot pulse.
Her hands are fine silk
when she shrouds me in her touch;
her lips are coals
that burn my flesh.

 She has carved her name
as a mark in my heart;
she has used her charm
as a sharp knife.
I can’t do a thing to stop her
and I am her man.

She breaks me out of my molds
with her grace, tact and spunk.
There is a close bond
with her deep lusts
and I am in love with her verve.

She is a great gift from God.
She is my best friend.
She is my wife.

YIELD TO HIS LOVE

Yield to His love.
If your heart is sad,
His love will turn it glad.
If your life is lost
too far off the road,
His love will show you
the right path to home.

Yield to His love.
Though your eyes
don't see through the fog
and your mind
does not find a why;
just have faith,
raise your voice and pray.

Yield to His love,
it is free.
His ears are wide for you.
His love will take care
of your soul.
None in the world
can give you this great love.

ON MY BED

Hi child, I am on my bed.
I try to sleep,
but you, from the crib,
break my hours of calm
with your scream
and tears run down your face.

That means I must stand up
and take care of you.
My arms hold your few pounds;
now, you feel safe.
I swing my arms from side to side
and hum a soft song on your ears
while I walk through the room.

Hi child, I am on my bed.
I try to take a nap,
but you, from the rec room,
break my hour of calm
with your shouts: Dad! Dad!

That means I must stand up
and spend time with you.
I lie down on the ground,
I grab a toy, and both of us,
you and me,
get caught up in the game.

Hi child, I am on my bed.
I try to nod off,
but you, from the pub,
break my hour of calm
with a phone call.
You have drunk too much beer
and lost your head.

That means I must stand up
and drive you home.

Hi child, I am on my bed.
I try to get some rest,
but I can’t do it.
You are out of my reach
and I don’t know where you are.

That means I must wait
till the day when you come back.
I can’t stand up, no more,
my legs have lost strength.

    Now, on my bed,
I cry, shout, and call for you
in my life of one.

DON'T DREAD

Don’t dread to change,
the new is old in a blink.
To try and stop the time is a farce.

Don’t dread the real facts,
you can’t break the rules.
All the steps in life
have both a date of birth
and date of death.
Jump for joy, clear your mind
and be free from fears.

Don’t dread to win a gold star,
raise your chest, turn your back,
and face up to the new term.
Give your best gifts to the world,
it’s a great thing to do.

Don’t dread to bring your soul
to the end
since the end is far off.

HAVE A REST

Please, have a rest,
close your eyes,
and you will hear
the sound of peace.
Slow down on the race track
and take a lane
on the road of calm.

Please, have a rest,
don´t be the prey of angst.
Don´t read the news,
life is not just a trade;
close the page of the ads.
Your glee is not in things
or in a coin box.

Please, have a rest,
take a deep breath; see the sky,
and link up your mind
with the stars.
Don't give up hope and be wise.
You can hear His voice
in the blue night.
You can feel His hug
in the fresh air.

Please, have a rest,
don’t move your will too far
from the Great Dad
who sired you
and knows your needs.
He has the key of peace.

A LIGHT

What is it that the vile and cursed man has seen in the sky?
It shines like a star, but it does not look like a star.
It has a form so weird that the man wants to fly
and to grab it with his hands.

The bright light comes close to the man and says to him: “I love you”.
When the man hear these words,
he cries on his knees and feels great peace in his heart.

Then, the man tries to hug The Lord, but he’s gone.
Now, the man walks on the top of the world with bliss and mirth
and his face has turned mild.

YOU

Here or there,
close or far,
in or out.

Now and all the time,
you are in my heart
and you take up my mind.

DAD

I wait for you, dad.

Sing me a song
when I go to bed.
I am your son, dad,
I’m not a pain in your neck.

I miss your warm words
and your care for me.
Your main job is here dad,
at home, with my heart.

How far is the day
when I heard your voice
and felt your lips
on my face.

I need your love, dad,
not a toy.

DEAR SUE

Dear Sue,
this term is gone.
The door of the class
will be closed
and we will take
our own paths.

Dear Sue,
you must be sure
that  your work made for us
was not in vain.
You were too kind
and our point
of view is:
You are great!

Dear Sue,
you taught us
with your heart
and good will.
 Our time with you
has been very good.
Thanks and
God bless you.
